Hagar Carries Winning Streaks into USCS Doubleheader This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – MARION, Ark. (Aug. 10, 2015) – Derek Hagar has an outstanding track record at a pair of bullrings he is set to tackle this weekend with the USCS Series.

Hagar owns two-race winning streaks at both Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Miss., where he will compete this Friday, and at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss., which hosts an event on Saturday.

“Our track record is pretty good at both of those tracks,” he said. “It gives us pretty good confidence knowing we have good notes to know what to do. I know people get tired of seeing the same person win all the time at tracks, but it sure feels good to us.”

Hagar will make his season debut at Greenville Speedway, where he claimed a victory last season and won two out of three races in 2013.

“We’ve won quite a lot at Greenville,” he said. “It’s gumbo and can be sticky and fast or it can be slick and right against the fence. It’s a fun, racy race track. It’s comparable to Riverside (International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.).”

Hagar picked up a win earlier this season at Jackson Motor Speedway. He was also victorious at the track last year and scored a third-place result in 2013.

“It’s a real sandy, dusty race track,” he said. “It has long straightaways and some tighter corners. You’ll either run the bottom or run the top. There’s no in between. It’s more of my kind of race track because it’s elbows up and on the wheel.”

Hagar has earned six feature victories this season, including four with the USCS.
